The Code of conduct is mandatory for all port agents.
The code of conduct has been implemented as guidelines to operate withing the network. It is imperative that all agents abide by the Code of conduct for being able to maintain their membership.
Ethics should be a prerequisite for any business therefore following and respecting the Port Agents Code of conduct is a sine qua non condition for becoming a port agent and for maintaining the membership.
All relationships between port agents, as well as personal relationships, must be based on honesty, fairness, loyalty and mutual respect.
Port Agents network cannot be held responsible for any financial liability or obligation among the network agents as the payment terms must be mutually agreed between members before the commencement of services.
Agents’ obligations
- All port agents must respond to sales leads within a 24h time frame
- All port agents must pay their financial obligations within the agreed terms
- Any dispute or issues regarding member’s reliability are reported to network’s management
- All port agents must refrain of promoting offices in countries where they are not registered
- All port agents are demanded to bring new business leads to the network fairly
- All port agents must respect the confidentiality of any dealings inside the network
- All port agents must use a professional business language in a polite manner. Inappropriate behaviour will conduct to exclusion of the agent
- Any kind of discrimination will not be accepted, and it will conduct to the exclusion of the agent
Termination
- When an agent is unable to provide a high standard of service
- When an agent is unable to fulfill the financial obligations inside the network
- When an agent has been reported or listed as a debtor after joining the network
- When they notify the network within 30 days before the expiration of the membership
- When an agent is repeatedly inactive
- When an agent actively spams the network members
- When an agent violates the Code of conduct
- The network management reserves the right to remove or expel any agent not complying with the rules of community
- In case of exclusion or leaving the network without notification the membership fee will not be refunded
- Resignation or removal of membership during the year will not entitle the member to any refund of the membership fee
- Membership fee is not transferable or refundable.
Limited liability
Under no circumstance shall Port Agents be liable or lost profits or any special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with our website, our services or the membership agreement including negligence.
Members must refrain of using the network logo or any mention of the network membership on their website, marketing materials, email signatures or elsewhere once membership is terminated.
The network management may add to the Code of conduct at any time.
Governing law
The membership rules, code of conduct, the use of the website port-agents.com and any other associated information are governed by the Laws of Romania.
